The proposed Millennium Park is located in the City of Powell River on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada. This tract of forested waterfront land is surrounded by the various neighborhoods that make up Powell River.

 The proposal for the Millennium Park was created ten years ago by a group of people with wide community representation and support. A Millennium Park Fund was created and over 2000 people have donated to date. The Millennium Park Proposal is well accepted by the community and is endorsed in the Official Community Plan.  Negotiations for the timber and the remaining land are in progress.

 The addition of the Millennium Park to the existing green space in the City will increase awareness and foster the well being of the people of Powell River and all its visitors now and into the future. This centrally located park-like area will be as significant to Powell River over the long term, as Stanley Park is to Vancouver.
