Dear Millennium Park Supporters,

It's been brought to my attention that some of you have been concerned that your donations, which was used by the City as a downpayment to PRSC, would not be refundable to the Millennium Park Committee. We have posted the City's Letter of Intent of November 8, 2005 on our website, and it clearly states that either we get Millennium Park, or have the conditional donation of $75,000.00 returned to us.

We have also posted a copy of the pledge donation form which you might have used to make your donation. It explains that in the event that Millennium Park would not materialize the refunded money would be used by the Millennium Park Committee to create a park in Powell River .

However, we believe that Millennium Park will be established in the near future. We are amidst talks with Island Timberlands, the owners of the timber in the proposed park area.

I hope you will share this information with your friends so their minds can be put at ease, in case they had been wondering about this also. Thank you for your patience, and I would like to point out to you that it was your donations that have brought us ever closer to the establishment of the park, which will in the end be as be as beautiful as Beacon Hill in Victoria, or Stanley in Vancouver.
